When the British colonized Australia, their methods were influenced by their ethnocentric views of the Aboriginals causing conflict between the two cultures. The British viewed the First Australians as unmannered humans who had no respect for such great people. The Australians were still in their time which was when they followed their native lifestyle. The British soldiers were elegant people who had followed what they were told, they always respected their leaders and lived to the British expectations. Such views of the First Australians showed the ethnocentrism of the British because the First Australians were shocking to the British as they were so uncivilized, they were like wild animals. From this ethnocentric viewpoint, conflict resulted between the British and the First Australians, the British were thought that the Australians had no or enough power to control the British, which ment they did whatever they wished and did not want the Australians disturbing or ruining their plan, if the native members tried, they were prosecuted. The British should not have disturbed the Australians peaceful land as all it would do is cause war.

Solo Act

Context
The passage I chose is said by Artermidorus, he was writing or rereading a letter that he had written to send to Caesar. It simply said that Caesar should be aware of the people who trust the most, which are the conspirators, as they all have planned an idea to harm Caesar.
Why is it Important?
This paragraph or letter makes me feel like Shakespeare put it there so that it get the audience thinking what is going to happen or to get them waken up. It is Foreshadowing, if you read the book you would realize that before Caesar was killed he came through the crowd to present it to Caesar but he did not take it. I thought it made more suspense in away you would think that Caesar was going to read it and he would kill the conspirators and Rome would be thankful to Caesar as he killed betraying Romans.

Act 2 Scene 3

'Caesar, beware of Brutus; take heed of Cassius;
come not near Casca; have an eye to Cinna, trust not
Trebonius: mark well Metellus Cimber: Decius Brutus
loves thee not: thou hast wronged Caius Ligarius.
There is but one mind in all these men, and it is
bent against Caesar. If thou beest not immortal,
look about you: security gives way to conspiracy.
The mighty gods defend thee! Thy lover,
'ARTEMIDORUS.'
Here will I stand till Caesar pass along,
And as a suitor will I give him this.
My heart laments that virtue cannot live
Out of the teeth of emulation.
If thou read this, O Caesar, thou mayst live;
If not, the Fates with traitors do contrive.'

Learning Profile

I learn best…
I usually learn best when I am not explained every single step, like it says in
my profile I would rather be given the answer and instead of a sheet saying the
steps. I don’ t focus when I am explained the steps as it is impossible to get all
the information in my head through one conversation. It is almost the same
problem when I am reading, if I wanted to remember a book I would have to
watch the movie to understand the book.

I need to…
I think that I need to be more focused even though it is really difficult; I think
it would be helpful for me to tell or inform my teachers on how I work best. It
would also help me to go after school and ask for help.

Strategies that help me learn…
The strategies that would help me in my learning would be to ask teachers
more questions and be able to have a time at home where I can just do my
homework and not be distracted my the T.V or laptop. Another way that
possibility would be to go to homework help where it is quiet and I could ask
teachers question.

I would like my teachers to know this about me...
I think that I would really like my teachers to know that I am very easily
distracted and that it is really difficult for me to listen to the teacher when they
explain steps. Also, It would be nice for the teachers to make more hands on
activities just like the beginning, since October classes have not been planning
to many hands on activities.

Driving force

I think trading was the most important part of the Renaissance because that is how most of the cities became famous. Also this is how the cities got their money.

The Ambassadors

The Ambassadors (1533), by Hans Holbein the Younger (1497/8 - 1543)
http://www.math.nus.edu.sg/aslaksen/pictures/ambassadors-s.jpg
The Ambassadors painting was painted in 1533 by Hans Holbein the Younger otherwise known as Holbein. This painting was a portrait of Jean de Dinteville and Georges de Selve who were the ambassadors of France at the time. This painting mirrors how far the knowledge and understanding about exploration improved and how the ambassadors were successful during the Renaissance. If you look closely the evidence for this is on the table. For example the globes and the telescope in the hand of the man on the left show evidence of exploration tools.During the Renaissance exploration was not the only subject that improved. This painting shows two other subjects that also improved- music and literature. If you look at the bottom of the table you will see a lute which is a musical instrument that looks like a guitar but shorter and fatter and a few books. Books were mass produced during the Renaissance because the printing press was invented which encouraged more kinds of books to be made and made the information unbiased. If you look at the two men, you would realize how fancy and formal their clothes are. This shows that the ambassadors were very successful when it came to researching the earth, I say that because the clothes they are wearing is not considered cheap. I was surprised to see the man on the right was not a dressed up as the man on the left.
